Organic Matter explores the predominant connection between nature and humans in a raw and abnormal way. There are so many natural disasters and new diseases occurring which are becoming more frequent and it seems as though the Earth is trying to kill off humans to protect itself. However, we are beginning to find ways to survive these disasters and they affect us less each time.

Eimear Twomey shows the transition of a person decomposing into the land, starting with small details such as sprouts and roots growing from their bodies. The images are taken from a scientific point of view, analyzing the disease and completely dehumanizing the person infected. The images are displayed as small prints in a glass case as a scientific archive.
